Upcoming Changes to E. G. Brennan Golf Course

Construction will be under way soon for Phase 2 of the proposed changes here at EGB!

PLEASE NOTE - During Construction there will be a temporary change to course play.
The 8th Hole will be played to the practice green, as will be once construction is complete and it becomes the 18th Hole.
The 9th Hole will be played from a portion of the 8th Fairway and to the old 8th Green (which will become the new 9th Green) to allow work to be done on the new 9th Hole Tee Boxes.
These changes will create a better flow to the Golf Course, as well as adding 2 new Holes to the Golf Course!

Here are updated images of the changes to be made.  One provides a full course view and the other a closer look at the changes to Holes 8, 9 & 18.

These Proposed Changes are in consideration of the following:

  • Phase 1 involved previous Holes 17 & 18 have been changed to Current Holes 10 & 11 to have our starting Holes 1 & 10 side by side.  This change was made for better starting/streamlining play and golf course operations in mind.  In the past there were concerns and issues of unauthorized play entering via the 10th Hole and disrupting the normal course of play.  Now the Golf Shop can regulate play by seeing both tee boxes, ensuring proper starting of tee times on both holes and managing course play more efficiently.
  • Phase 2 plans will change our existing 9th Green into the future Practice Green.  This is for the safety of the public/golfers along with eliminating golf balls being hit into the parking lot.  A tee box will be constructed on the hill by this new practice green leading to a shot to the previous 8th Green becoming our new 9th Hole.  Our current 18th Hole will then become the future 8th Hole.
  • The end result of these changes will result in a exciting signature 18th Hole which will entail a second shot over the pond in what is the current practice green, becoming our 18th Green.  It will also add an amphitheater effect with the future 8th Green mounding allowing spectactors a closer vantage point for tournaments.
